Our Mission

 At Advocate Alliance Community Support Services, our mission is to empower individuals with disabilities to live with dignity, independence and purpose. We are committed to providing person-centred care that respects each individual's unique needs, strengths and goals. Through Compassionate Support, inclusive practices, and a focus on building meaningful connections, we strive to enhance the quality of life and promote equal opportunity for all

Our Vision

 To be a catalyst for a world where individuals with disabilities are not just included but actively shape and lead their communities; where personal aspirations are met with the resources, respect, and partnerships needed to thrive; and where every unique journey is celebrated as essential to the richness of society itself. 

What we do

 

We provide core supports under the NDIS designed to empower participants to live as independently and confidently as possible:

  • Assistance with Daily Living: Personal care, meal preparation, cleaning, and general household tasks to help individuals maintain their home environment.
  • Skills Development Programs: Targeted support in cooking, cleaning, shopping, budgeting, and personal care to build essential life skills and independence.
  • Community Participation: Access to social, cultural, and recreational activities to enhance community engagement and inclusion.
  • Capacity Building Supports: Programs to help participants develop skills, confidence, and independence, including goal setting and problem-solving strategies.
  • Family-friendly, focused outdoor area with BBQ and seating to complete arts and crafts, have coffee and chat, or just enjoy the sun. For our buddy gardeners, we have a herb garden just waiting for you.



 

Supports can be delivered either within the community or in the participant’s own home. Additionally, clients of AACSS have access to our dedicated Hub facilities

Games Room

“It’s more than just games – it’s a space to belong, explore, and grow!”

 

Our Games Room offers a comfortable, home-like environment designed to foster social connection and engagement for NDIS participants. With interactive games, shared activities, and a relaxed setting, it provides the perfect space for building friendships, practicing communication skills, and developing confidence in a safe and supportive atmosphere

 

Gaming and Social Fun for Everyone

  • Video gaming station with large TV & consoles
  • Retro arcade joystick for classic gaming
  • Relaxation spaces with beanbags & sofas
  • Minecraft & Mario wall art to inspire creativity
  • Casual or group gaming sessions available

The Imaginarium

 

The Imaginarium at AACSS is a unique, sensory-friendly space crafted to inspire creativity, encourage learning, and foster social connections for NDIS participants of all ages and abilities. It’s a flexible, multi-purpose environment where participants can explore, create, and build essential life and social skills in a supportive and welcoming setting.

 

Creative Arts & Crafts

  • Paint, draw, or sculpt in a calm environment
  • Engage in structured or free-choice art sessions
  • Explore textures, colours, and shapes to support sensory development

 

Lego and Puzzle Building

  • Access dedicated puzzle tables and Lego play areas
  • Improve fine motor skills, patience, and problem-solving
  • Collaborate with peers on group projects to foster teamwork

 

Literacy and Learning Zone

  • Enjoy quiet reading time with a wide variety of books
  • Join small group storytelling, phonics activities, or literacy games
  • Practice cognitive and memory-building exercises

 

Social Skills and Communication Activities

  • Engage in role-play and interactive games
  • Learn conversational skills in a safe, supervised space
  • Take part in small group projects to build confidence and friendships


 

Calm Space for Emotional Regulation

  • Relax in comfortable seating with sensory cushions and soft furnishings
  • Participate in mindfulness and breathing exercises led by trained staff
  • Access quiet activities when feeling overwhelmed

 

Life Skills & Responsibility

  • Help organise books, puzzles, and toys to build routine and responsibility
  • Participate in guided “clean-up” and group organisation tasks

 

Sensory Play and Exploration

  • Interact with sensory walls, tactile toys, and safe play items
  • Explore colours, lights, and textures in a controlled environment


 

Empowering Independence Through Cooking and Daily Living

The Life Skills Kitchen at AACSS is a fully equipped, accessible space designed to help NDIS participants build essential daily living and independent life skills. This modern kitchen provides a safe, supportive environment where participants can learn, practice, and master everyday tasks at their own pace.

 

Participants can

  • Learn to cook simple to advanced meals with staff guidance
  • Practice safe use of appliances like ovens, stovetops, microwaves, and dishwashers
  • Develop kitchen safety awareness and hygiene practices
  • Gain confidence in meal preparation and food handling
  • Explore healthy eating habits and nutrition
  • Build skills for cleaning up, dishwashing, and maintaining a tidy space
